Designer's Comments |

This banner is FLASH and was designed for a membership site that my wife, Becki, Co-Founded. It is called Virtual Assistant Revolution. The work on this banner took only 3 days to complete. I like it and it was fun. |
This FLASH was designed for a company that I created a web site for. It was by far one of my favorite web site designs. |
This is FLASH that I created for The Selon Group, before I decided to make the site W3C compatible. |
This FLASH was created for my Coaching Company. I Coach Virtual Assistants in creating sustainable businesses. |
Banners
This banner was created for my wife, again, and the other co-founder of "Our Take On It" a PodCast/Blog business. They figured they spent numerous hours each week talking about stuff and others might want to listen. |
This banner was designed for a supplier
of safety equipment. We were told that he wanted black as a primary
color and wanted to see how diamond plate would look in the final
design. |
This job was sub-contracted to us.
The client works with high-profile sports athletes and wanted to
incorporate a number of balls into the design as well at her Mid-West
location. |
This is a banner that was created
for a package program that we offered to Coaches (Business, Leadership,
etc.) who are just starting their businesses. The idea of a packaged
product was the focus. |
This banner was designed for a coffee
house on a very limited budget but still wanted something classic
and clean. |
This was a difficult design when
you consider that gold is a difficult color to create on the web.
Gold usually winds up looking green (not the look they were going
for). So after a few trials, we got it to look good. The bright
light coming from behind the "i" was a large factor in
the final design. |
This design was fun because it played
off the "Mission: Impossible" theme. There is a lot of
layering that went into this design to give it the smoked effect
and the flare from the fuse was problematic because we could not
find stock photography that had a burning fuse. So, the effects
were created. |
The columns in this design were
created with Photoshop. The thought was that the client wanted to
show a solid long-lasting institution that focused on real estate
and the income potential. |
The client wanted to use a bold
looking telephone to enhance this photo and wanted money falling
from the sky. |
The blends on this design were an
important part of the message they wanted to convey and taking elements
of a water theme to carry the transitions from one-piece to another. |
This was a no-brainer. The name
Top Gun Coaching led to one solid idea, "fighter jet".
The jet had to be layered 3 times to get the shadowed effect and
the slip stream behind the jet was modified and enhanced to show
speed. |

This logo starrted out as a digital graphic. But the owner of this company wanted to have the animals hand drawn. I have not done that sort of creative work since high-school, but lucikly it was "Spot On" for what she wanted. |
This logo is for Assistance For Coaches and was
created with a bulls-eye look. |
This was a redesign for a company who wanted a
fresh new bold look that had a more business-like feel |
The next four logos are several variations for
the same business. The initial idea was from the client who just
wanted the words laid out as the logo. |
Version 2: After the first design, I sent another
design to them, with the idea of "less is more" |
Version 3: I then sent another modified version
with overlapping components. |
Version 4: I then added new colors and textures
to make it stand out. |
This design is for a retail shop that sells soaps,
lotions, fragrances, handbags and other unique items. They cater
to the upscale woman who lives lavishly. |
Blog Blend: They have a caffeine addiction and
use technologies like blogging to promote their services. |
The logo for the coffee house banner at the top.
Again, the classic and clean look is carried through to the logo,
as well. |
The actual logo for the Coaching Start-Up Kit.
Coming from the idea of a packaged product. |
Using the coffee cup logo from above, the concept
was that the ideas that are generated are exciting. |
My first logo design ever (I just want you to
see how much I've grown) |
This design is for a ministry for kids. A tidal
wave cascading over a brick wall that has spray painted words
on it.
The "OOD" in flood make a smiling face turned on it's
side, sort of a subconscious happy thought. |
The next seven designs are all renditions of the
same idea, that geyser is a busting out with a wealth of support
from this company. |
Version 2: I added brighter colors and a chromed
effect to Geyser. |
Version 3: Keeping the brighter colors, I went
back to a more muted look so as not to be overwhelming. |
Version 4: I took the geyser out of the words
and set it on a hill. Then I scripted the font. |
Version 5: I separated the words from the design
and added tectonic-like plates as an underline for the text. |
Version 6: I took the above design and enlarged
the words to stand out more. |
Version 7: I went from an abstract design to a
retro look for the geyser and changed the layout to a more classic
look. |
I had fun with this cartoonish logo incorporating
a broom into the design. |
The Great Salsa Company - using the Mexican theme
of a sombrero, tomatoes and a chile in a deco design. |
Version 2: Removing the hat and set the focus on
the veggies was the key for this client. |
A logo for a newsletter that points to the registration
form but also says what it is "inside". |
There was no direction given by this client, so
I used the International appeal by utilizing the globe and creating
a back glow to the text to make it pop out off the globe. |
For a newsletter: This logo was built on the idea
that the four outside circles are part of the inside circle. There
were four renditions after this to accentuate each outside bubble
so that the focus was on that information when the topic was related
to that bubble. |
The idea was to create a cross-roads of information.
The colors were requested. The shadows were done in 8 different
layers to show depth. |
Art deco with a personified watermelon were used
to make this snazzy logo "POP". |
The next four designs were built on the idea of
piecing the puzzle together. |
Version 2: I added a background design to the
puzzle pieces to show that when united, your life is complete. |
Version 3: I took out the client's name and incorporated
the business name into it. |
Version 4: Taking the original idea of puzzle
pieces and laying them out rather than showing them connected was
the direction for this logo. |
Online International Virtual Assistants Convention:
The logo for this was a play on the tag line "Pathways"
to Success, the colors were used to match the site colors. |
A ministry whose focus is on feeding people. |
Here is the Logo for "Our Take On It" |
The concept for this was creating direction by
being radical. |
This logo was designed from the standpoint of
holistic health for women. The colors are natural to keep with the
holistic theme. |
ROCACP: Their idea was to have a man, woman and
child and a cityscape to show who their ministry assists. |
I love the concept of this logo, taking the polar
U shaped magnet and incorporating that into a letter. The font used
enhances the magnetic feel because the letters are separate but
still connected. |
Another ministry logo design to show that the
focus is on those with special needs and the "IVI" appears
as though they are happy and or worshipping. |
You may have seen this logo before. It is ours.
The idea came from the tag line, "Getting You Results for the
Fruits of Your Labor". |
An online ticket seller asked to have us create
two versions of a logo. The idea that was presented was that it
should look like a movie ticket. This version uses a dog print to
enhance the name and make the "W" in Dawg. |
Version 2: This version uses a more traditional
ticket look by adding the "Admit One" text. Not that showy,
but makes the ticket more realistic looking. The star was added
to give it something extra. |
This logo was created from the concept of the
mind is where your business potential comes from. The arrows in
the circle represent constant movement and also create the "V"
in Virtual and the "T" in Revolution |
This logo was designed to show movement in the
initials of the name. The colors are strong business colors. |
This logo is a play on the BOOM in the product's
name showing the explosion of business assistance it provides. |
This is our umbrella company's logo. The blue
is a business color. The oval represents longevity. The overlayed
text is a reverse contrast to the design. |
The idea came from the concept that this business
is the "key" to their client's success. |
The red, white and blue are a representation of
the US and the flag-like movement represent the ribbon snapping
at the finish line of a race. |
