Who Is The Selon Group?

In 2004 Becki and I (Dale) decided that working with Business Coaches was fun, but somewhat limiting. Nearly all of the Big Coaches in the Industry were currently under contract or had been at some point. There was no sport in it anymore. I mean, after you catch and release the biggest fish in the pond what fun is there in the sport? So what is a fisherman to do? Go to a bigger pond.

After determining that our business expertise and high quality customer service was not being challenged enough, we set out to change that by refocusing our efforts into new arenas, namely Small Businesses, Corporations and Entrepreneurs (because we love them so much).

However, we had to give it a name. We toiled over this name and that name, never finding the one that said what we wanted it to, when Becki saw our last name in a reflection. Instead of “Noles” she saw “seloN” (I know it didn’t look exactly like that, but you get the idea.) and thought, “The Selon Group”!

In an instant, we knew that it was the name for our new venture. We took the things that we were doing and slapped up a site we were proud of. But I never took the initiatve to market it because I was still working so hard with my other clients. I did some work for a roofing and siding company and for a high end home automation company, but not much else transpired because I did not make a plan to be out there marketing our new business arm.

But the dream inside of me was to have this business become my primary focus. The joy I get from networking is like no other. Despite being introverted, I love meeting new people and building a network of resources. So, after moving back to Pennsylvania, we decided it was time to shift to our dreams and persue our passions. I will be out networking. Maybe we will meet soon.
